The Las Vegas Film Commission was appointed by Mayor and Council in 2005 and since, has worked hard to create a positive working relationship with the film industry.

Mission:  The purpose of the Las Vegas Film Commission is to enhance and promote the image of Las Vegas and the surrounding area by proactively marketing Las Vegas, New Mexico, as a destination for the motion picture, television, and related industries.  The primary objectives are to stimulate economic development; create local jobs; provide and support educational and training opportunities in the various media industries.  The Commission also assists in the creation of policies and procedures to facilitate the protection of our community while welcoming the film and media industry.

The Las Vegas Film Commission meets the first Wednesday of each month at 4:00pm in the City Council Chambers, 1700 N. Grand Ave.
